For Sale: 1928 Ford 5-Window Coupe – Chopped Hot Rod

This steel-bodied 1928 Ford Coupe is a true old-school hot rod with a rich backstory and classic styling. Originally built between 2006–2016 by Frank Criffield of Templeton, CA, the car saw fewer than 500 miles before Frank fell ill in 2017. It was stored in his barn until his passing in 2020. The current owner acquired the car in 2023 from Frank’s grandson and completed light restoration and cleanup work to bring it back to life.

Build Highlights:

• Original Henry Ford steel body (hood is fiberglass, modified to Frank’s custom design)

• Approximately 4” chop for that aggressive hot rod stance

• ASC 1932 frame rails

• Super Bell dropped I-beam axle

• Pete & Jakes 4-link suspension

• 1986 Chevy 350 (4-bolt main) w/ Comp Cam CL12-238-2

• TH350 automatic transmission w/ shift kit

• Ford 9” rear end

• Dual exhaust w/ Cherry Bombs

• 135R15 front & 235/75R15 rear tires

• New radiator installed in 2024
